Class Descriptions

UNHEATED or MINIMAL HEATING

Gentle Yoga: Gentle yoga is open to anyone. We practice traditional yoga postures and modifications to build strength, flexibility, and inner-awareness. This class is suitable for beginners, people recovering from injury, people returning to yoga practice after a prolonged break, seniors and people who are not particularly flexible. Explore the benefits of yoga and learn correct alignment in a safe, supportive atmosphere.

Cool Vinyasa: Move gracefully through a vinyasa flow linking together physical, mental and spiritual qualities into one grounded practice. Awareness of breath is the focus as you are lead through sun salutations (suryanamasker), standing poses, inversions, backbends, and hip openers. The heat will be lowered to  85 degrees for this class.

Warm B-52: This class is not a flow. It is a workout. The emphasis is on focus and strength as well as flexibility. There are 26 poses that you will be lead through twice: standing, balance, and floor with some intense back work!

Prenatal Yoga: Strengthen your body and calm your mind in a practice that is safe and beneficial through all stages of pregnancy. In this class we use gentle breathing exercises, endurance exercises and deep relaxation to help you find comfort in pregnancy. Let go of fear and learn to trust your own wisdom and the wisdom of your baby as your prepare body and mind for the journey into motherhood.

Yoga for Athletes: A 60 minute non-heated class focused on the athlete’s body.  Lots of work on balance, gaining flexibility and mobility, and whole-body strength.  Everyone is welcome!.

Slow Flow (all levels): This class emphasizes the integration of asana (movement) with breath and meditation.  It is a gentle to moderate flow practice, designed to cultivate and strengthen the mind/body connection and promote wellness. Build self confidence, gain strength and flexibility, while cultivating peacefulness within your mind.  Students of all levels are welcome. The instruction is tailored to offer variations so each student can feel challenged yet comfortable and safe.

Kundalini Yoga: Kundalini Yoga was brought to the US by Yogi Bhajan in the 1960’s. Each class begins with a tune in, breathing exercises, warm ups, a yoga set, followed by relaxation and meditiation. The practice energizes and revitalizes the body through postures, breaths, mudras (hand positions) and mantras (sound currents). Kundalini Yoga is welcoming to beginners, and can deepen your current yogic practice, bringing awareness to the mind, body, and spirit. It is also said to strengthen your immune, glandular, and nervous systems. Come join usand leave blissed-out!

Yoga Warrior: The Yoga Warrior method skillfully integrates concepts from yoga therapy, traditional yoga philosophy, psychology and sensory integration theory with current scientific knowledge of the mind-body connection to promote health wellness and peace of mind from within. This class specifically helps individuals with PTSD, COSR and TBI. This class is not heated.

Partners Yoga: A fun, easy going night of yoga to spend with your spouse, friend, child!! Great for encouraging communication and trust in one another! Moves are done with your partner. The class is not heated.

Yoga for Golfers: The golf-focused program is designed to elevate the quality of your golf experience in multiple ways, physical and emotional. In this unique class we address the mechanics of a swing and the muscles involved, learn how each asana (pose) directly benefits your golf game, practice breathing awareness and its positive impact on psyche and our entire golf performance, and review trends in golf fitness. We begin and end with an assessment of individual strength and flexibility, then utilize specific stretches and asanas to target the muscles and improve your entire golf experience.

Level I: A more gentle flow with a little less heat. Great for those who are new to yoga or those who have been practicing but want a less intense workout.

Art of Barre: Don’t be intimidated or afraid to try this class. The Art of Barre is a unique total body workout which consists of small precise isometric movements to strengthen the muscle followed by deep orthopedic stretching to lengthen the muscle. Founded on the principles of Pilates, Yoga, and Ballet it is infused with interval training to keep the heart rate elevated to help burn off fat. Barre can by done by all ages and fitness levels with modifications that can accommodate any conditions or injuries, as well as pre and post-pregnancy.

HEATED CLASSES

Level I/II: This is a multilevel class for all! Get a workout but take time with your poses…get to know your flow! It’s a class where you can explore and challenge as much or as little as you like

Hot Vinyasa: An intense flow for those who want a great workout for the entire body..You will stretch and strengthen every muscle in your body….and sweat out the toxins and create a new look!

Rock Flow: An invigorating and challenging vinyasa flow with up-beat music in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Inversions and arm balances will be available for exploration. Suitable for all levels as long as you want to flow and sweat!

B-52: This class is not a flow. It is hot and it is a workout! The emphasis is on focus and strength as well as flexibility. There are 26 poses done twice: standing; balance and floor with some intense back work!
